Course in FAIR data curation will be held at UiT

The RDA in Norway and UiT Norway's Arctic University will arrange a course for course leaders in FAIR research data curation.

Planned Maintenance

There will be maintenance in the data room hosting this portal on Tuesday 22nd of October. All functionalities will be interrupted from 8am. The portal is expected to be fully available again after 2pm. In addition, to prepare for this, the portal will be unavailable on Sunday 20th of October, for about 1hour starting at 10.30pm

New data service

The Norwegian Meteorological Institute has developed a new data dissemination service for observations at weather stations. This service is available at https://seklima.met.no/. NorDataNet still works on integrating the raw data behind that service in this for easier combination with other data, in fact stations around Svalbard are already more or less integrated.

Third Polar Data Forum

The Third Polar Data Forum is arranged in Helsinki November 18-22 2019. During this meeting there will be a number of training sessions as well. Further information is available at https://polar-data-forum.org/. Deadline for abstract submissions is August 16th September 6th.

The CODATA-Helsinki Workshop on FAIR RDM in Institutions

The CODATA-Helsinki Workshop on FAIR RDM in Institutions will take place at the National Archives of Finland on 20-21 October 2019.  It is a collocated event before the 14th RDA Plenary Meeting, Helsinki, Finland.

The deadline for proposals is Friday 6 September.  Given the relatively short time before the event, there will not be an extension.  We aim to notify accepted speakers by Friday 13 September.
